It is our policy to recruit two graduates each summer, one for Carlisle and one for Penrith, to train as Chartered Accountants. We also recruit graduates to train to become members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation at irregular intervals. The training for each of these takes three years and leads to nationally recognised qualifications, ACA for accountants and CTA for tax specialists.

As we believe in the importance of our staff and their development to the success of the firm in delivering a high quality service to clients, we look to develop the potential of all staff. We regularly recruit school leavers to train to work in our accounts departments and this can lead to ATT qualifications for appropriate individuals.
