Dean is our Tax Partner who has overall responsibility for tax services to our company clients, ranging from small husband & wife businesses to large Plcs.
Dean specialises in providing tax planning advice to owner-managed and family businesses and has 20 years of experience of corporate tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, income tax and stamp duty planning. He also has responsibility for the provision of payroll services to our business clients.
More recently, Dean has seen an increased demand from clients for advice on employee share schemes, international and expatriate tax, property acquisitions/disposals, purchase and sale of businesses.
Dean previously worked for 10 years with Ernst & Young in their London and Newcastle offices and qualified both as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. He returned to Cumbria in 1998 when he joined Dodd & Co and became a Partner in 1999.
