Jackie joined Dodd & Co in 2001 after gaining a degree in Mathematics at Newcastle University. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and now specialises in start up businesses and clients within the hospitality and leisure industry.
Hospitality and tourism industry
Jackie works with clients to maximise profits and minimise tax liabilities through specialist knowledge of the industry. She advises on structuring the business, keeping records, purchasing or selling a business, VAT, tax and accounting implications specific to the hotel and tourism industry.
Start up businesses
She also works with many clients who are starting up in business giving assistance with all aspects of start-ups including advising on structuring the business tax efficiently, setting up book-keeping systems, obtaining maximum tax relief, and generally guiding new businesses through the early years of business.
