Jackie joined Dodd & Co in 2001 after gaining a degree in Mathematics at Newcastle University. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004.
She works with all types of businesses, including guiding start up businesses through their early years.
Hospitality and tourism industry
Her knowledge of the hospitality and tourism sector gives clients in this area specialist advice on structuring the business, keeping records, purchasing or selling a business, VAT, tax and accounting implications specific to the hotel and tourism industry.
Insolvency
Jackie’s other area of specialty is within the insolvency department. Jackie is part of a team who are able to advise both businesses and individuals on the options available to them. The team works alongside Jeanette Brown who is licensed to take formal insolvency appointments, and they can advise on whether a formal or informal solution is appropriate in the particular circumstances.
