Martin is our Corporate Finance specialist and technical audit partner. He worked at Price Waterhouse, advising on corporate acquisitions and disposals, and raising funds through public and private offerings. He then had four years experience at board level within growing businesses before returning to private practice in 1997 when he joined Dodd & Co. Martin has that relatively rare attribute in our profession of having worked on both sides of the business world and thus has the experience and understanding of what the issues facing the owner manager are from the business owners perspective as well as the business advisers.
Martin is responsible for our audit and advisory services to larger businesses and organisations, providing sound and practical advice to business owners and management to assist them to grow their businesses in a structured and successful manner. Martin has advised many business owners on the sale and purchase of businesses and brings a very practical and pragmatic approach to his work.
Martin is a member of the Audit Practices Board of the Financial Reporting Council (the body that sets the standards by which audits are performed); and was Vice-Chairman of the Audit Registration Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
