Staff and friends of Dodd & Co accountants in Carlisle are taking part in the ‘Coast To Coast’ bike ride in order to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit in Carlisle, and the Centre For Reproductive Assistance in Gateshead.
The bike ride, which runs from Whitehaven to Tynemouth, is approximately 150 miles and will be done over the weekend of 5th & 6th September.
Darren Moynan, a chartered tax advisor at Dodd & Co, stated “We opted to raise money for these two worthwhile causes as they mean a lot to two members of staff in particular. My son Jake spent his first 6 weeks in the Special Care Baby Unit, and Brett Bennett and his wife Ruth used the centre for their child Tess. Each of us felt we wanted to give something back to these causes for the care and assistance that they provided and so we decided to raise money by doing the ‘Coast To Coast’”.
The team are currently training hard to complete their challenge.
Alison Johnston, partner, said “This is a fantastic challenge and I am sure that if they put as much work into it as they do their day jobs they will all be incredibly successful. We wish them all every success”.
