Following on from our recent story regarding Dodd & Co supporting charity fundraisers by purchasing a Shelter Box for a lucky employee to spend the night on Cross Fell! Our very own a member of the Rotary Club Carlisle Castle along with fellow Rotarians Andrew Bailey, Colin Jones and Ron Bailey of club Carlisle South, took on their own grueling three day challenge "The Big Push" in order to raise money for Shelterbox a charity which provides emergency aid to international disaster areas.
They pushed a Shelter box on a homemade hand cart 40 miles and 3,000ft from Carlisle castle to the top of Cross Fell, the highest peak in the Pennines, to raise a much needed £1,500 for the charity.
