The NFU is pleased to inform about a charity auction that will take place on Friday 5 December within Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle. This will follow a similar format to the successful event held five years ago when over £30,000 was raised.
The charities to be supported on this occasion will be RABI, Hospice at Home, Air Ambulance and Life Education.
All auction companies in the north west of the county will be involved, namely Harrison and Hetherington, Cumberland and Dumfriesshire, Hopes, Mitchells and Penrith.
All manner of items will be sold, from livestock, deadstock, machinery, incidental gifts and household goods. We hope to have lots of stalls, which will include a Christmas Fayre as we enter the festive season.
More information will be available next month, but we can confirm that the entry forms will be available from NFU offices, together with auction marts, and we hope that all farmers will wish to bring along something to sell and of course make the all important bids to ensure a successful day.
