Dodd & Co held their first Sage workshop on the 25th March 2010. Oliver Heaton from Sage came in our Rosehill office and gave a 45 minute demonstration on filing VAT online from the Sage software.
The topics covered were:
What you need to do to register to file VAT online.
Checks to make before you run a VAT return.
Running a VAT return.
Making adjustments to the VAT return.
Submitting the return through the Sage software.
Making a payment using e-banking.
This was well received by a group of 25 people and allowed everyone time to ‘quiz’ Oliver about any aspects of sage. This was also a good opportunity for those attending to meet the Dodd & Co staff who deal with their Sage queries and have a bit of a chat.
We are intending to hold future events in conjunction with Sage which are open to both clients and non-clients. If you did not receive an invite for this event and would be interested in attending future events then please email andrewb@doddaccountants.co.uk.
In the June 2010 budget George Osborne announced that he was going to scrap the money purchase pension scheme arrangements which virtually require you to buy an annuity by age 75.
