Know how in care homes

How can you maximise your profits? Minimise your tax liabilities? Refinance, buy or sell your care home? Our experts have gained years of experience in this sector and can advise you on the range of specialist issues that affect this sector.

By working closely with you, we can gain a full understanding of your strategic goals and provide the appropriate financial expertise to help you realise them. We can advise you on business valuations, acquisitions, disposals and raising finances, as well as providing day to day business strategy and finance advice to care homes of all sizes.

We prepare a regular newsletter covering current industry and tax issues specific to the care homes industry.

We also prepare an annual profits report for care homes and their owners. You can use this to measure how your business is performing in comparison to others in the area.

Alison Johnston is the current Independent Cumbria Care Homes Association chairman.

The ICCHA group aims to meet up a few times a year to discuss current issues of the day, which affect us all as independent residential and nursing homes in Cumbria. The reason behind the group is to have an open forum for independent Cumbria care home owners to share their views, concerns and information with the overall group objective being to improve the quality of care for adults.

The next group meeting is:
Date: Thursday 22 September
Time: 2:00 - 4:00pm
Venue: Dodd & Co, Carlisle.

If you would like to be involved in the ICCHA group by attending the meetings or receiving information contact Laura Pearson via email: laura@doddaccountants.co.uk or call 01228 530913.
