Dodd & Co have been acting for GPs for over 27 years. During this time the term ‘medical practice’ has transformed almost beyond recognition.

The Dodd & Co ‘know how’ regarding GPs spans from assisting practices with the implementation of the ‘first’ New GMS Contract in 1990, fundholding, practices electing to make the transition to PMS, formation of limited companies to most recently - the ‘second’ new GMS Contract in 2004.

We act for over 100 GP practices, 500 individual GPs and locums and associated medical businesses including cosmetic surgery ventures. Our medical clients are based all around the country. Although most of our clients are based in the north of England or southern Scotland, we do have medical clients as far away as Edinburgh, Southampton and Cardiff. We do not consider the distance of our client from our office base to be an issue.

Our service extends far beyond the production of accounts and tax returns. We believe in being pro-active to help your medical business grow and be as profitable as possible. We also have a large network of professional contacts including bankers, solicitors, and Independent Financial Advisors, to ensure that whatever your question is relating to your practice, we can help you find the answer.

We have a dedicated team of experienced staff members, including two of our partners, two accounts managers and a tax manager, who spend most of their time working on the accountancy and financial or tax affairs of our medical clients. This enables us to consolidate our specialist knowledge to provide a high quality service tailored to your specific needs.
