Our work experience programme is a great opportunity to spend time in a real accountancy practice, meet professional accountants, and discover how businesses manage their finances every day.
You'll gain valuable workplace experience, develop new skills, and learn more about the different career opportunities available.
What Will You Do?
During your placement, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on experience of the processes and procedures involved in producing financial statements
- Acquire valuable insight into working as part of a professional accountancy team
- Develop your communication, teamwork, and professional skills
- Learn about the qualifications, training, and career opportunities available in the profession
Who Can Apply?
Our work experience placements are primarily designed for:
- Secondary school students in Year 10 or above
- College and sixth-form students
- University students seeking accountancy practice exposure

Accountancy Placement Dates
We offer a limited number of work experience placements each year within our Accountancy Department. Our work experience placements last for one week, taking place from Monday to Friday.
Spring Placements
February – March 2027
Application deadline: 23rd October
Interviews to take place in November
Summer Placements
June – July 2027
Application deadline: 21st March
Interviews to take place in April
Interested in Another Department?
Work experience opportunities may also be available in other departments across the business.
Applications for these placements will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability and business requirements.

Selection Process
As we tend to receive more applications than we have places available, submitting an application doesn’t guarantee a placement.
If you’re shortlisted, we’ll invite you to a short interview with a member of our team. This is a chance for us to learn more about you, your aspirations, and why you’d like to complete work experience with us.
Don't worry – we're not expecting you to be an accounting expert! We're simply looking for students who are curious, enthusiastic, and keen to learn about the profession.
Successful applicants will be notified once the interview process has been completed.
