Sharing Our Knowledge

So, training and development is high on our agenda, and is there to stay. We will always be on the look out for new opportunities and ways to share our knowledge and to reach new audiences – watch this space.

We also offer a variety of training courses for outside training providers and are frequently asked to support other firms’ seminars by speaking on specialist subjects.  We also present our own Dodd & Co courses on topical issues.  Check our events calendar for forthcoming seminars.

See below for a taster of events we have done recently and see if anything takes your fancy:

Bookkeepers Forum – Free sessions held and ran by Dodd & Co at our Carlisle office giving all local bookkeepers a chance to get together, meet face to face and discuss any burning issues. We like to think that we have successful relationships with many local bookkeepers; we both share a wish to get the best job done for the client through working together. We don’t want to double up the work done by you!

Solicitors Seminar – Aimed at solicitors to encourage them to come and share ideas on how we can all better work together and smooth the work done for clients by both parties.

Farming Talks – Our farming team are regularly contributing towards discussion on a wide range of topics affecting the farming industry throughout the year. Recent sessions have included bits about the CAP reforms and how this is likely to affect farmers.

Drop in days – We regularly hold sector specific drop in days to encourage clients and potential clients to pop in and find out about what is going on in the industry at the moment. Latest sessions have included, charities and care homes.

Never underestimate the importance of putting your clients and customers first. I've been a client of Dodd & Co Chartered Accountants for nearly a year now. Not only have they restored my faith in accountants but they have superb customer service. They pick up the phone, they take the time to listen to me and answer my (sometimes slightly daft) questions, they explain what should be done and when, always being happy to help. Last week we welcomed a new arrival to our family. Two days later we received a New Baby card through the post, from our fantastic accountant. They didn't need to, but they took the time to do so and it meant a lot. Outstanding customer service!
