Congratulations Kristina

Dodd & Co are delighted to announce the promotion of Kristina Gash to Computer Services Manager.

Kristina joined Dodds in 2016 to take on a brand new role as Accounting Systems Consultant to help the growing number of businesses looking at the variety of cloud accounting options now available.

After graduating from Northumbria University with a first class BSC degree in Business Information Systems, Kristina spent some time in the North East working with a major international construction company before returning to Cumbria to take up her role with Dodds.

Kristina’s promotion means she now oversees Dodd & Co’s CAT (cloud accounting team) and manages the implementation of cloud accounting software into clients’ businesses. The growing team is now over 30 members strong including many staff members certified in a number of packages including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Accounting, Kashflow and FreeAgent.

Kristina says ‘It’s really exciting to see how much cloud accounting has taken off in the last few years and how much of a difference the technology is making to the running of clients businesses. With so many options and bolt-ons available, it’s really important to work with the client to make sure the package works for them and ensure they get the most out of it – for me that’s the best part of the job!’

Clients have been so surprised how straight forward it is and the huge growth in the sector is only planning to continue with the impending MTD deadlines set to be brought in starting for some, as early as April 2019.

Alison Johnston, Partner said “We are absolutely delighted to announce Kristina’s promotion which is testament to all her hard work over the last few years. We are excited to see how far she and the cloud accounting team have come, and are looking forward to seeing where the next few years will take us.’

She added ‘It is an exciting time for Dodds, and Kristina’s promotion demonstrates our commitment to the cloud and these growing technologies to not only ensure our clients a smooth transition through the Making Tax Digital (MTD) phase but also in allowing them real time access to assess their profits.’
