New term start for #TeamDoddies

Dodd & Co are delighted to welcome 14 new Doddies to their expanding team.

Dodd & Co has a long history of ‘growing their own’ and the latest recruits will be no different.

The new starters will be spending two weeks in ‘Doddie School’ as they begin to learn the ropes and develop their knowledge of the services and values Dodd & Co have to offer, before they break off onto their individual career paths within the team. The new intake increases Dodd & Co’s workforce to a strong team of 171 across both Carlisle and Penrith offices.

40% of current Doddies have studied, under firm sponsorship, for a professional qualification, with over 1/3 having a level 7 professional qualification (equivalent to a masters degree). Their range of highly technical knowledge within the experienced team allows them to provide knowledgeable advice, helping to ensure their clients get the best from their business up and down the country.

Training is a huge part of Dodds culture and these latest additions take numbers of staff currently studying for professional qualifications of various different levels to a total of 42. Spanning an age range between 16 and 30, 4 of the new trainees; Joseph Stafford, Leah Mansergh, Lauren Thomas, and Lucy Furness will be joining the firm’s accounts department in the Penrith office and 8 trainees; Alexandra Bauld, Callum Hind, Chloe Oake, Laura Dent, Lewis Irwin, Mark-Lucas Winspear, Matthew Johnston and Robert Currie will be joining the Carlisle accounts department. Hannah Jackman, will be trained up as a member of the Carlisle tax team, and Lucy Winter will be a valuable new addition to the Carlisle support team, working towards a business & admin qualification.

Alison Johnston, Partner with Dodd & Co said “We are thrilled to welcome this latest raft of new starters to our team.  We have a fantastic, solid workforce within Team Doddies and we are delighted to be able to invest in training and professional development opportunities not just in accounts and tax but also areas such as marketing and business and admin. We wish all of our new Doddies the very best as they begin their careers with us and we look forward to putting many more through Doddie school in the years to come.”
