Tax

Tax doesn’t need to be taxing. Your tax circumstances are unique to you and it is one of those areas where we would all like to save a little bit of money. Our careful planning and individual advice can help you do exactly that, why pay more than you need to?

Tax

Our wealth of experience is second to none. We have clients of all sizes and by considering your overall capital value as well as your yearly income situation, we can look at the bigger picture and ways in which we can use all available reliefs to make sure you only pay what you really need to. We can look after your tax returns from as little as £150 per year, so don’t struggle your way through the HMRC nightmare, we do it every day so let us do it for you.

Timing is crucial and we can help use this to your advantage to make the most of the UK tax system which currently offers many planning opportunities. You just have to be a bit clever about timing when and how things are done, this is where we come in – why pay more if you don’t have to?

It is important to consider your tax position when buying, selling or transferring assets. We can help you plan ahead and structure the arrangement in the most efficient manner meaning that stamp duty land tax, capital gains tax and any future income tax liabilities are kept to an absolute minimum.

How many times do you hear the same old argument; to go limited or not? Operating as a limited company can help to minimize your tax liabilities and we can advise and help you decide if this is the best option for you. We can work to ensure that the affairs of the company and the directors are organised in the most effective way, allowing the best ‘after tax’ return for all involved. We can review your estate, plan for succession and help you to put a strategy in place to get rid of any looming inheritance tax liabilities.

Tax … don’t pay more than you need to. For more information please contact Dean Johnston, Bevan Osgood, Judith Clark or Kathryn Brown.

I have known Alison Johnston for a number of years and have found her advice to be totally ‘spot on’, as is that of the rest of the ‘Dodds Team’. She is so much more than an ‘accountant’ – giving valuable advice on business planning, critiquing ideas and plans and offering the benefit of her experience. She has recently introduced us to ‘Kashflow’ – a tool which allows us to manage our own finances, from issuing invoices to calculating our VAT – invaluable! We are now working with her colleague Rob Bainbridge who has just completed our first set of accounts in our new business and who has been very patient with us and our many questions!! We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Dodd Accountants going forward.
